Fight breaks out at Lagos, Abuja audition centers
News reports have revealed fights breaking out at the Lagos and Abuja Big Brother Naija audition venues. Insablog9ja reports brawls from the different locations possibly caused by the crowd that turned up for the audition very early on Friday, January 1, 2019, and even.
There have also been reports of people fainting from the heat and exertion at these centres. Some have blamed the massive turnout at the auditions on the ASUU strike, joblessness and the government.
A Twitter user commenting on the situation said that the government of Nigeria has failed its people and most young people now see this avenue as a path out of poverty.
“The crowd at the #BBnaija auditions is proof of our flawed value system and our failed government. I am not against anyone going to audition for it, but when this is what majority of our youth see as a way to escape poverty, then we have a serious problem”.
